So I got a mad catz wireless n adapter for the xbox 360 and it connects through the Ethernet port. I've heard they can be used on any device with an Ethernet port but have been trying for hours to get it to work on my xbox1 and can't figure it out. Has anyone tries to get this to work?

It looks like it's nothing more than a wireless bridge, so yes, it should work with the original Xbox (or any ethernet device) as long as you set it up correctly on your computer first. Does it work correctly when connected to your computer?

Yes it works and connects to the network when I have it on the computer. Not sure if its something on the xbox end that I'm not setting right.

Make sure that the network settings on the Xbox don't conflict with the adapter. If the Xbox is currently set with a static IP, try changing it to DHCP.

Just use a router compatible with DD-WRT and set it up as a wireless bridge.
