The small board, gets put outside your X360 case in some nice handy corner spot, so you can easier control the operation by the set of switches and see its LED status and more important update from your PC via the mini-usb jack.

This makes it very easy to reflash and update the core firmware without any soldering again or opening your X360 case up every time there is an needed update.

Sounds like there is a lot of risk of it getting ripped out then. Still though, looks really interesting. If only I could solder... sad.gif

getting what ripped out?

worst case scenario is you yank off the small daughterboard and damage the ribbon cable which is easily replaced

it would never rip the demon off the motherboard lol

I know the demon would be secure. I just thought the ribbon cable could be easily damaged, and I didnt know they were so easily replaceable.

Well you wouldn't just have the daughterboard loose outside the 360, you'd have it securely mounted on there somehow.

Im sure it will be as simple as solder chip in place and a drop of hot glue on the ribbon cable and the daughter board im sure you could come up with your own spot, I would just say under the hard drive. the chips are starting to remind me of the original xbox I had to wait for Xecuter to come out with a chip back then I was to scared to do enigma too many wires!
