I got a few new slims here that throw up open tray as soon as the game is put in. It doesn't even attempt to read games. I opened it up and doesn't show any signs of being messed with.


EDIT: Seems to be an issue with the magent and the case. It reads games without the dvd cover on and just the magnet.

probaby the actual motor that spins the disk. maybe you would want to consider changing it.

Fixed by adjusting the screws that hold the rails in place. I tightened them a little and it works now.

If you don't know what rails I'm talking about...

Hi,

I'm having the same issue with a Lite on 16D4s, but the weird thing is that when I put the disc, the laser turns on then off; the motor spins for 2 to 3 seconds, stops and then the laser turns on and off. The laser never actually sees the disc spinning. It seems they are not synchronized.

Will this be a Laser problem?, or a motor problem??
