Unplugging The Slim Frequently, Could it harm the console?

Is this really true though? If so, why? I'm wondering if it is in fact safer to unplug my slim whenever I want. Which is the best way to go?

But to be safe, when you do unplug, start at the wall then the console,.....and when you plug back in, start at the console then the wall. I can't see it being a problem tho.
