I just bought a ihas124 drive to burn games...Now I need to know what drives i can use to rip the games...I have an old xbox with a benq drive but the console is rrod...can i still flash that drive with the 0800 FW to rip the games and use the xbox to power it still? or do i need a working xbox to use with the drive...I also have a working xbox with ixtreme v3 and a liteon drive.....Basically I want to do this with no more money down..or could i just flash my lite on drive in the working xbox to the 0800 FW and flash back everytime...what would you all do...or what can i do at this point...with no money down.

can i still flash that drive with the 0800 FW to rip the games and use the xbox to power it still?

Yes, flash it with 0800 3.0, and use the latest XBC to rip. Be sure to read the documentation that comes with XBC to rip XGD3 discs properly.
