I prematurely formatted my Xbox 360 hard drive before saving everything on it. I used the built in formatting the Xbox provides on the system. I know it wasn't a low level zeroed out format because it only took several seconds for it to complete the 250gb drive.

So I am going to be interested in finding a way to access that information. I have access to a Mac & a Windows 7 machine. If I buy the Xbox data transfer cable is it possible to gain access to that information?

What would you recommend to do? I called a data recovery place and they wanted about $150 an hour minimum 2 hours to get it. So I thought I'd like to try and access it.

Comments or suggestions?

I did buy the xbox data transfer cable but I haven't been able to access the hard drive yet.
