Lets try a different approach. Shall we?

First thing, if you put the original hard drive back into your Xbox, does it still boot and work fine?

IF SO, Google Heimdalls Xbox ENgineering disc, or HEXEN for short. Burn that ISO to a DVD-R and boot it with your original xbox HD installed. Use that to update your current Krayzie softmod to a newer Krayzie version. Once you do that, you can then try Heimdalls advice again..

Run Krayzie Extras (which you should have installed at E:\Apps\Extras\default.xbe). Select "Launch Extras", and the LED will turn red. Select "Update virtual eeprom", then when Evox launches select "Backup eeprom", then select "Continue to update virtual eeprom". When UnleashX relaunches select "Update virtual eeprom".

Once you are back at the UnleashX dashboard, use FTP to copy e:\apps\extras\files\eeprom\backup\eeprom.bin to your PC.

Use that eeprom.bin, and follow the instructions at the link in my signature - "Build a new softmod disk with eeprom".

something tells me that some one needs to boot hexen, go through the hard disk deleting all the eeprom.bin files
then tell hexen to Back up the eeprom.

the only eeprom that will then be on the hard disk will be the correct one.

Im not sure where the op is getting the wrong eeprom files from...

Unless they arent doing "Lockhd -a".... and instead are doing "lockhd -p"
or something so the drive gets locked without using the eeprom..

after obtaining the eeprom.bin file via FTP and using xboxhdm to create the drive, i was indeed using "lockhd -a"
