My dvd drive is broken and I want to bypass it. Is it possible to bypass it with out a modchip. I have my hdd softmodded. its a v1.0 motherboard. Thanks in advanced.

Not with a softmod. With a 1.0 Xbox you could flash the TSOP with a BIOS that allows the DVD check to be bypassed.
