Hey!

As the title says, i have a PS3 Controller with the MSU_VX3_008 board. I want to do a Stick and Stick button swap, and i need help mapping out where to solder and what to cut. I have the skills and equipment for the job, just not the brainpower to figure the rest out biggrin.gif

This is my board

For L3/R3 you need to sever their lines and just swap them. Since they share the same COM3 line it's 2 trace cuts and then 2 wires. Sever traces, wire Light Blue to Light Blue, Pink to Pink.

For the Stick's Axis functions, you can go the 'long' way with no trace cutting and desolder the 16 joints of the Hall Sensors to remove them from the Sticks, bend the Pole leads up, then use 8 wires and rewire the Poles to the other sticks connections..

..or, show off them skills and sever 4 traces, then rewire them after the converter IC. wink.gif Both methods will produce the same result. While this one is 4 trace cuts and uses 4 wires, it's a good bit more difficult than the 'long' way of doing it, but neither of them are really much fun at all.
