So, xbox bros, I have these two big heatsinks, off of a pentium 4, 135watts of heat dissipated by a silent fan... the p4 ran at around 55celsius with an average fan voltage of 6.5v (80mm) I have a feeling that these would be great at cooling down my old hot xenon board, but Im not sure how to attach them, any ideas? You're best off just using another old CPU cooler on the GPU and then attaching fans to the front of both of them. It isn't worth the hassle of making some sort of custom mounting bracket for something that will give slightly better cooling performance.

I would like to use an old cpu cooler as well, but I don't have one. I am literally broke atm. What I do have are two old big heatsinks. I was just asking for advice on how to attach these, as they are really all I have.

yes you can. but its kind of hard so you need to play around with it.

If you have an Rgh or jtag You will need to monitor your temperatures.
To mount that heatsink you'll need X clamps, some screws, nuts,
and or the 2 silver mounts from the cpu heatsink. LINK

if you can get The xclamps to fit through the center of that heatsink, you can mount it with the screws and bolts

If the X clamps don't fit then you'll have to use the two silver mounts from the CPU heat sink and then use the scres and bolts.


ps.I have gotten Way better temperatures using two second GEN CPU heatsinks then the PC heatsinks.
