I have a jtag that I've been using for years now. Today when powering on it gets a e79 error. I checked all the solder points and after not being plugged in for a while I plugged back in with my internal hd connected. FSD booted up but my display was 480 so I went to system settings and the xbox acted like it was the first time it was ever turned on. It asked for language, display, xbox live setup. After setting everything up I powered off the xbox and then I got the e79 error. If I unplug for a while and plug back in the exact same thing happens it boots, initial setup, after power off and power on I get e79 error again.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the help

Someone more than likely updated your jtag to official dashboard. If it ask you to set up the language and stuff. It must of been updated by someone in your house. So, sorry, it's gone.
