I've always wanted to do a slimbox mod but never got around to it. I have the time now and decided to give it a crack. Did some reading and wanted to make sure I have right part list.

Im looking at this for PSU: http://www.mini-box.com/picoPSU-80-60W-power-kit
I have a 250gb 2.5" HDD i want to use w/ this adapter: http://www.dealextreme.com/p/sata-hdd-to-i...rd-57841?item=8
and 1 of these: http://www.xpcgear.com/iceberqccba4p.html

is that about right? I will be ditching the DVD drive all together so I think the PSU should be enough for my little project.

u can make a slimbox with all the original parts and just a handful of cuts.. u can even retain the 3.5 HDD

those icebergs were great for superslims

and u dont rly need a new psu unless ur doing a micro

lap your heatsinks and use good thermal paste.. the usual ones

stock rear fan can fit if trimmed correctly

trust me this will be one of the easiest mods u will do...

just checkin but im guessing you r tsoped or chipped?

That sata -ide adapter wont work, dx used to sell a version that worked but they reverted to an older version.
Another one that i have tested and currently have running with a 2tb hdd is like this and sold by Topwill on ebay - My Webpage

The important part to look out for is the 2 large caps on the pcb which help to boot the hdd , and so far no one got one to work with a dvd drive installed so you will need to use a dvd drive pcb connected to the ide cable along with the yellow power cable.
