My xbox is setup using a Static IP and is config all correctly. It worked flawlessly with my old Router.
Now that I am back on Dialup, my Netgear HUB will not let me FTP to the console. Above that, nor will the Crossover cable that I JUST bought. Both say either Lost route to host, or cannot find a route to host or some crap like that. Any suggestions that I can do on the PC side of things? |

They are in different subnets I think.
If your subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 for exampel, the last numer is the only part that can be diffrent. Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0 Xbox: 213.0.0.2 PC: 213.0.0.3 <-- Works PC: 213.0.1.3 <--- Don't work If your subnet mask contains something else that 255 and 0 you just translate that to binary, and the where it is 1 the Xbox and PC must have the same numer: Subnet mask: 11111111.11111111.11110000.00000000 Xbox IP: 11010101.00000000.00001111.11110000 PC IP: 11010101.00000000.00001010.00001111 <-- Works PC IP: 11010101.00000000.0001(<-!)1010.00001111 <-- Don't work |

Forgot to aswer your question
Change the IP at the NIC to the same ip as the Xbox have, but with another ending (Xbox: 192.168.0.3 - PC:192.168.0.4) and set the subnetmask to: 255.255.255.0 on both Xbox and PC. |

buy a router, hubs suck when it comes to networking and routers make it simple. I had a hub for many years and had trouble with networking, when i finally bought a router it was worth every penny, go get one!!!
