Connecting The Leds To Power, wut connector i use Options

k, i bought a 80mm tru blu fan, now it has a 4 pin molex connector[same as hdd connector] and a 3 pin connector
the 4 pin connector contains 2 small wires, and the 3 pin only has a wire, now i removed the led circle which only contains 3 leds[not 5 as in other tuts], now how should i connect the leds to get power, should i use the 4 pin molex and a y splitter, but would that render the fan useless if i wanted to use it in my pc
