DVD-X v1 & v2 released by X-ecuter team allow you to play all region DVD.

So, I know I can play:

Region 2 DVDs with my DVD Playback Kit
Multi-region DVDs with DVD-x

But, can I use anything that will let me play region 1 and 2 DVDs but control it with the DVD Playback remote?

I'm pretty sure XeniumOS (XOS) will allow this.

I think DVDX-1 does as well, but I'm not entirely sure.

n00b question here

with an x-box (bought in the US) connected via a component cables to a plasma display capable of pal and ntsc, will i be able to view PAL DVDs?
