I tried searching and noone seems to have the same problem as me.
I have a D-link wireless router DI-614+ on my PC and the Linksys WGA11B on my xbox. My router is DHCP and my evox settings are: Network - yes Statip - no ip - 192.168.0.3 subnet - 255.255.255.0 gateway - 192.168.0.1 I can ping 192.168.0.3 and get a reply. I have turned off passive mode in flashfxp If I set the Linksys to obtain IP automatically, how do I know what it has assigned? Will the IP for xbox and Linksys be the same? Flashfxp just keeps timing out Any ideas? |

Never mind, got it working!
Swapped the cablr that came with the Linksys with a crossaver cable and went straight in. Only thing is though, it says as type 10/half duplex. How do I get it to 100/full duplex? |

I gave up on wireless, as the speed is unbearable, you will probably only get 11Mb constant transfer, There are some equipment claiming 54Mb.
11Mb was not enuff to sustain DivX streaming via Relax for me, the movie would get choppy. I ended up removing some roof tiles and running CAt5 around the house. It's been said before and is painfully obvious, but 10Mb is literally 10 times slower than 100Mb. |

yea wireless sucks for any large transfers. even 802.11g isn't that great. I use wireless cause it beats running a wire in my point and if you use xbox live or just need to copy over a bios or .ini or xml it isn't bad. but for anything large i take my laptop over with a crossover cable and do it that way.

I used to connect with crossover cable direct to NIC, but was a pain lumping the box over to the PC.
I used to get 100/full duplex doing that way, but to be honest, it hasnt made to much difference. As you say, all I am doing to transferring files and games over. I wont be streaming and probably not even going online. It has just taken me about 10 mins to copy 800MB, which was about the same as before (maybe wasnt set up right by what youre saying) but the average speeds in both cases were about 600KB/sec. Is that bad then? |

It was only relax that forced me to abandon the wirless option, DVD transfering is similar to wireless speeds and its more than enuff for XBL and xbox connect.
