Where are you installing the XBox? In the glove box or under a seat? What kind of monitor are you using?
Well besides that, I would try to find a small power inverter, cut off the lighter end, put on an inline fuse like they make for neon kits (but a little stronger so it's not constantly blowing) and wire it between a 20 amp fuse and a ground. Plug the xbox in and cable tie the excess wire up tight. If you car has a lot of room under the steering column like mine does, you can get some 3M double velcro like they use for EZPass and hide it up there.
If you try this and your car blows up let me know. It's something I was going to try, but my car is only a month old.

Xbox Version: v1.0
360 version: v1 (xenon)
The only thing that makes sense is a 12V to 110-240V power inverter. It will run your xbox plus any other mains powered equip (drills, mobile charger, turbo-dildo).
A rough guess would be that an xbox alone would draw around 100-200Watts, $70 USD should cover that.
A 300-600watt inverter would be required to run a TV as well. $100-$300 USD

most inverters (like mine) can either be hooked though a cig adaptor or directly on a battery. as for hd damage, i went on two roadtrips to florida with no problems.
