Keep in mind that the pogo addon doesn't work with anything after (and including) 1.2. However, the pogos built into the 2.2 lite + are compatible with all xboxes. I think that the best solution is to buy a chip that has to be soldered, and get a pro to do it for you (if you don't have the guts to melt metal over your motherboard

Well, that is arguable. Some people who use the lite + have to realign it every week, while other haven't touched it since install. I think the best way is hiring a pro to do the traditional method (wire, header pin) for you.

Oh . . . I forgot how /fun/ and /stimulating/ it is to realign pogo pins. If you decide to go pogo, make sure a spec of dust doesn't /SLAM/ onto the casing, disaligning the pogos.

Just solder it.
If you can read and understand Nancy Drew novels - then you can solder the mod chip in... Gaz |

forget pogo-pin
get the mod-chip soldered !!! it's better i oredered a pogo and mod-chip and installed both of them the pogo work and mod-chip work but the pogo is always come loose so i have to re-align in again and again each time my xbox is hit by something in the end i try to do the solder method the last time i did some sodering is nearly 10 years ago i'm a total noob at soldering but i found no problem soldering the cable of my X-ecuter 2.2 Pro so in my opinion forget the pogo pin use solder method instead... |
