Do I Need.... Options

I have 2 questions:

1) i read a tutorial that said i needed a 4034 kernel to get this 007/bert hack to work. is this true? what happens if i try it with a different kernel.

2) Ive read some posts saying people get the error 21 message when they click load. does this mean it will stay there EVERYTIME you load the xbox without a game? or will it only come up when you try and do the 007 hack. basically are you screwed if this comes up?

EDIT: also, what does "signing the xbe's" mean? can i use say xbcopy to copy my games without inconvieniece as soon as i get this EvoX working?

I don'[t really know enough to answer your first or third questions, but as to #2 -- I have personally gotten the Error 21 message many a time (still trying to make the damn thing work), and when I go to boot a game normally, or use any of the usual functions of my xbox, it works fine.

well what happens if u boot ur xbox without any dvd in the drive? does the error 21 come up? or does ur msdash load?
