I'm sure others are doing this but I haven't seen anyone mention it soo...

Using xbtool edit your x2_4977 bios to boot to c:/loader.xbe (this being your phoenix bios loader) and then set your boot from media bios to boot to evox as usual. Now when you boot your xbox the boot from media bios loads up automatically.

by any chance would I be able to add LBA48 support to my evox D.6ef bios by loading an lba48 supporting bios over it with phoenix?

i keep seeing everyone using the phoenix loader on unmoded box-es... but in my case (i dont have a modchip installed, only a moded bios chip) I cant flash it at home... so would phoenix solve my problem?

any help is appreciated.

You should just be able to flash your tsop chip with a 1 meg bios of your choice with evox dashboard...
