When I try to run Ocarina of Time with UltraXLE, I just get a black screen.
I have them on a CDRW, I put it in, UltraXLE loads up but when I go to run Ocarina of Time it just sits there with a black screen.
I'm using EvoX 3921 and UltraXLE v1.0b according to the name of the RAR, although the .nfo says 1.0a?
hmm, I just thought, does the ROM need to be a specific one? I'm using the European version of OOT, does it have to be the NTSC one to work with UltraXLE?

I've used the [E] [!] on a ntsc box just fine.
Is it a verified rom? Try verifying it...if not, try the ntsc.
I would suggest first that you disable IGR in evox and try again.
If that doesnt work try using avalaunch or enigmah video disc and switching to ntsc and trying then.

I've had bad luck in generally when doing anything off of CDRW. True, I'd assume it would just not be able to read/load the ROM in the first place, but you never know. Can you try loading it off the HD?

Rename : Legend of Zelda, The - Ocarina of Time (U)(1.0)[!].v64 in The Legend of Zelda (U).v64
& use :
- US version 1.0 : The Legend of Zelda (U).v64 ; CRC : ec95702d
- euro version 1.0 : The Legend of Zelda (E).v64 ; CRC : 9852a62f (don't forget to remove // in ultra.ini to activate it).

Still didn't work

My ROM has the same CRC, I put the slashes in front of the US lines in ultra.ini and removed them from the PAL lines* but I think I may have got the name wrong by one character.
I also tried copying it to my HDD from the CD and that didn't work either. I can't try sending it over from my PC because I don't have a crossover cable at the moment.
*I removed the slashes before the line:
| QUOTE |
patch= -1, 80111b70, word 0 // PAL Version
|
and the ones below the note, then I added the slashes to all of the lines in the US section, was that correct?
