OK, I killed my motherboard while trying to install an xecuter 2. I have a new one, but without it's original hard drive. I have my hard drive, but its still locked for the dead motherboard. Would it be easier to desolder the eeprom on the dead motherboard and put it on the new one, or should I install the modchip to the new board, and try and unlock/relock the drive for the new board's eeprom? Or is there a third option?

even if you install a mod you wont be able to unlock the drive with another Mobo.. You need the original, so you are gonna have to de-solder the eeprom from the dead mobo onto the new one

Considering I fried my board trying to install a chip, I'm trying to avoid desoldering the eeprom. Theres nothing else I can do?
