I can see the hitachi drive in bios of my computer when I connect it with SATA cable, I think it is the one I can see, I'm not sure what it shows as in BIOS, but i'm quite sure it is this one, cause it shows up under SATA RED or something.... and I changed from RAID to NO RAID, but when I put the SLAX LIVE CD in drive of xbox 360, it would not boot, windows starts normally, and yes I have choosed to boot from cd/dvd first in BIOS.... if I put it into my computer SLAX LIVE CD is booting up, and afterwards it asks me to login with username and password..... I don't get this message who says "drive in mode b" etc that all guides says to look after... What can I have done wrong..... or is it just me biggrin.gif appreciate any help... have tried to search forum with no luck.

Try the 2 wire trick or splash out on a connection kit. I prefer the latter.

No the slax cd goes in the drive of your PC and NOT the 360
mazel
ok.. so I did right.... biggrin.gif that's good.. very strange... when I get the message about login as user: root password: toor....... what do I have to do after this... does'nt find anything about this in these tutorials

Simply press the reset button on the front of your pc (Not the Power Button) and take the slax cd out. Your drive now may or may not be recognised in windows as the SLAX cd doe's not work for everyone.

OK, so when SLAX has finished, and I get to screen with user/password, I just take out the cd, and use the reboot button on computer........ should SLAX continue it installation then?

ps: maybe I should try another SATA port on mainboard... I tried the ones under the IDE connectors, maybe I should try one of these that comes out back of the computer

You need to put your drive on the primary master sata port, and slax doe's not install anything all it does is put your drive in mode b.
mazel
ok, then I should try finding my primary sata port first maybe biggrin.gif
