Does anybody know a way or maybe a file that gets the dvd audio ripped out of a dvd??
I need the file to be moved to my ipod?

any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

you could try, playing the dvd on ur pc while having a sound recorder, like audacity, running and have the record source be wav out... just make sure ur pc doesnt make any other sounds during the recording

Just demux the VOB or title in question and you've got your source. Google has about a thousand free and pay-for demuxers as results. Use your favorite MP3 encoder to convert.

Have to rip the CSS out first I believe, but no biggie. You can grap the title(s) you want there anyhow.

just out of curiosity.. why just the audio? if it's a dvd wouldn't it lose the movie aspect of it? (although if it's like a music dvd, disregard me and i hang my head in shame)

What if it's a comedy special like Dane Cook/Jerry Seinfeld.
I've done this but it was years ago and on a different computer where I had to follow quite a few steps and use a bunch of different programs. Clearly it's easier now... I just haven't done it in a long time.
Also, with a good moive, you see it enough times and you can picture what is happenning just with the audio... at least I know I can.
