If you are already logged into an online game during this time, you will most likely find that you can continue playing as normal, but you will not be able to log in or start a new game until full service has been restored. You will also not be able to access the Store during this maintenance window.
We are hoping to complete this work in as short a time as possible and apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. But remember that these enhancements are paving the way for new and exciting content that we have planned for the Store!

Cool, I wonder what they are planing, movie downloads, Making room for ps1 titles... anyone else have any ideas?

Not sure... but I hope they at least add some more PS1 titles. I think that now that you can play the downloads on both the PS3 and PSP those games are one of the best features in the PS Store. They really need to get more of them out there.

maybe its prepping for home? anyways i hope its sweet and maybe even a redesign of the ps store layout

I can't see anything different. The store just got faster for me but some links still get timeout when trying to access.

The extra stuff is not coming the day of the upgrade. the work done in this is most likley upgrades to servers etc. preparation for future additions.
