I purchased the official VGA cable for the xbox 360 about a week ago, and mostly, things turned out just as I had expected, until I popped in a DVD. I have my 360 set to 1920x1080 via the VGA cables, but DVDs simply do not play in wide screen anymore. The Image is reduced to the standard square image. How do I correct this? Even if they do make games look better, I want to be able to watch my movies in full screen. Please help.

I may be overstating the obvious, but are the DVD's fullscreen or widescreen? I have a 61" Samsung DLP, and used to have it connected to my 360 via VGA and had zero problems with DVD playback and aspect ratio's.

you're probably using the wrong version of the DVD as SphtKr76 stated.
look on the back is the dvd "Fullscreen" "Anamorphic" or "letterbox"
