A600 released xNeoRaine v1.2.11 - a port of NeoRaine for Xbox1, Neo Geo CD emulator: [QUOTE] xNeoRaine 1.2.11 ported by A600
This is a port for the Xbox1 of NeoRaine, the best Neo Geo CD emulator out there, coded by Emmanuel Anne (Tux) (if you like the emu, consider donating to him as a way of saying thanks for his hard work) and possible thanks to the SDLx libs by lantus.

Also, the Xbox180 has the ability to last for ten years.

The "6 JTAG users" bit made me lol.
Thanks for this amazing emulator, your work is appreciated.

You're barking up the wrong tree... Go bark up the tree of developers who actually have a Jtagged 360.

The xbox scene and the xbox 360 scenes are two different scenes - this site just happens to cover them both. While *some* devs from the xbox 1 days are now doing some 360 stuff, most of the devs are different.
Furthermore, be glad that the xbox 1 is still getting love - even if you don't have/use one. If anything it may be an indication that the 360 homebrew scene will at least still receive scattered support years after it's discontinuation (although EVERY xbox 1 is exploitable, whereas only a handful of 360s can be jtag'd).
I'm also curious if this will work on a 360 via the hacked compatibility update...

I requested a port of this emulator. I not figured that this was made. A600 thank you very much, I regret not being able to make a donation. Hopefully someone can donate, you deserve it.
Thanks again

If there are requests going on....

Jaguar would be awesome - especially for the CD-based games since those units are expensive and hard to come by in working order. It looks like they are working on a 2.0.0 release of Virtual Jaguar, which is also SDL. Check it out:
http://icculus.org/virtualjaguar/Maybe that one would be a good one for A600 to do if he could get in touch with the authors?
Thank you again, A600!!!!

this is great stuff. i may not have touched my neo-CD games in years, but my 180 only turns off when i leave the house.
it's funny, playing this emulator made me realize how shitty the arranged music for samurai showdown was. the best part is that i can just switch it out with the original music from the OST. ah, good times ahead.

Which file does this Neo-Geo CD emulator play? Iso? Cue? Zip? Any help is appreciated thanks in advance.

I was curious to this myself, so I did a little google (and then I found the readme, LOL).
It is a weird setup. Each game will be contained in a folder named the title of the game. Inside the folder <game name> - track 01.iso, a <game name>.cue and the game audio tracks in .mp3 named sequentially (eg. the first game audio track would be titled <game name> - Track 2.mp3 as the .iso is track 1).

Good job A600
Could anyone compile the regular Raine? It shouldn't be to difficult. He provided the src for neoraine. I just can't find all the dependencies.
I'd like to play the emudx extras with raine on xbox.

Hi
I want to see to try to add the command line option to this emulator too

to use it with Unleash or XBMC like others

Is some one can do it quickly (because for a real coder i think it is easy to do) and give us the XBE updated ?
It will be a dream ... because i'm not a coder and it will take me maybe some month lol
Thanks

The problem is if you raise the volume on the options too high you get a cracking hissing noise, can only go to about 100, still sounds quite low.

I have "xRaine 0.51.9 ported by A600" amd about 511 games on my harddrive, basically a full rom set, i noticed coinops2 has much less games for the same library and doesn't have this specific emulator incorporated into it.
My question is,
xraine 0.51.9 is pretty new as of april of this year, why should I change? Is this release simply the resolution of a legality issue, i'm doing a few things at the moment, but I will do a few performance tests. I'm assuming i can just swap out the emulator and its executable from xraine for this one xneoraine, since there basically the same thing right.
I don't tend to use the latest version of things just the best functioning version, with that said, I have a pretty outdated xbmc dashboard that I prefer to use over the new xbmc dashes that are under licence now.
Simply put, I don't plan on using xneoraine if it doesn't perform better than xraine which was released less than 3 months ago.

I encourage everyone to
compare xraine 0.51.9 to
xneoraine v1.2.11 for yourselves. I'm a fan of A600.
p.s. the best dreamcast emulator for pc is makaron 12 as a stand alone not apart of that naomi front. Took me a while to set up, then a bunch of new games came out on the modern systems i rather play instead, nothing beats "record of lodoss war for dreamcast played from a pc to your tv with a xbox360 controller in hi-def".

xNeoRaine emulates Neo Geo CD and xRaine emulates Arcade games
I see, well you learn a lot more when you stop relying on all in one installations like coinops2.
Kawa-X can do neo geo, but it can't run samurai showdown 5, the fba emulator? coinops2 runs does? this would be good to see if xneoraine can run the full kawa-x library and samurai showdown 5.
p.s. I don't see a need for coinops2, i'm going to just remove it from my xbox later today, but would welcome a boot selector for the independant programs

I downloaded the fullset for Xraine, but strangely, Cave games like DoDonPachi, ESP Rade, Dangun Feveron are not in the list ....i've read xraine support them, but is this port up to date ? Does Xraine really support those Cave games ?
