is there a simple method for adding VGA output to the xbox? i find tut's on google but a lot of them look like sh*@ and it's kind of daunting.

Tried the Pyle adapter myself. Although it worked on my Wii, I got "incompatible resolution" on the Xbox.

Looking at the specs for that converter there should be no reason for it not to work with the Xbox. Very decent price too as most of the variety of similar alternatives I've seen are triple the cost or more.

I never thought a converter like that would be any good or might introduce unwanted artifacts/intereference but I've bought other types of similarly cheapish converter off eBay and been very satisfied with the PQ.

This box appears to convert a standard YPbPr signal to a VGA compliant signal. That said, anyone who wants to use for the Xbox must make sure they are NOT using a VGA bios, or it won't work properly. The screen will be purple.
