Does anybody know if there is an a/v pack with the plain yellow video out, and the orange "coaxial" out, for 5.1? I don't have s-video on my tv or receiver, nor do I have component video. I bought another av pack hoping it was what I need, however I was mistaken. It had component video and optical audio.
I don't even mind if it has optical audio, I could use that too, but I need the composite video. Thanks.

You could
convert an advanced AV pack if you have one.

The AV pack I have has optical audio, component video (Green Red Blue) and L/R audio. I could do the optical to coaxial conversion, but I still don't have video, since I don't have component video on my TV.

Why the hell did you buy a HDAV pack if you can't use component video?
Like ScifiKG said, convert an Advanced AV pack (as shown in that link), it has both S-video and composite outputs for video.

Well I guess you could open the HD AV connector on the xbox side. First you 'd need to change the mode select wires to fool the xbox into believing it is an advanced av pack. Cut the RGB wires and their coresponding grounds. Use one of the RGB connectors to connect to composite video. Then you could use the link I gave you and use another one of the RGB connectors to get your "5.1".
