Bad new for all boxes using the 007/MA audio exploit. The new update prevents using the audio exploit. I have one friend with the MA audio exploit and one with the 007 exploit and neither can boot Evox now. Neither one of them is able to use the copy soundtrack feature anymore either. I don't know if it has been disabled for everyone or just those that used the exploit.

When you connect to Live right now, you will have to get the update. The update will happen and then you are introduced to your new dash

Your new options at this dash are:

Friends
Voice Chat
Account Management
Main Menu (Goes back to MS dash)

If you click on Main Menu, you go back to the typical MS dash. Now, new feature in settings! You have Network Settings (IP, DNS, etc.) and Auto Sign-In.

I really do think you can not disable the auto log-in. When you go to the option in the dash, it says this: "Automatically sign-in last used Xbox Live account where possible?" I think this option is for people in a household with a Xbox that has more than one account. I may be wrong of course.

Well so far I have this new dash on my unmodded Xbox. I am going to wait with my modded one for now.

So if we load up with X2 bios, it will still load to EvoX, I assume.

If you select MSDASH from evox, does it try to load up XBOX live directly?

This I do not know. I am not going to update my modded Xbox with Live 2.0 just yet. In fact, I may not never.

With data corruption in NCAA and Madden using XBSM, I back up my saved dynasties using the MS dash.

Of course, I can always flash my Xbox with a banned EEPROM...

I need to sleep on this first, but I think I will hook up my stock XBox HD onto the Xbox, put EvolutionX on there etc., and then try out Xbox Live 2.0 on my modded Xbox. JUST IN CASE MS has implemented some horrible F drive scan or cleaning!

If youve got non modded xbox and the phenix bios loader and a font hack running will running an original game and connection to xblive 2.0 work?

Possiblities; yes, no, ban?

1. Audio Exploit doesn't work anymore (for now anyways) this may be due to the change in dashboard (xboxdashdata.17e4cd00)

2. 007Save Exploit still does though

3. I have not yet tried my Chip as I have not installed it yet but give me an hour or so and will get back to you...

Just updated to xbox live 2.0 and so far no problems playing espn football or hockey. I have an xecuter lite w/ switch. i unplugged my ethernet cable just to be safe and booted evox and it worked as usual. I guess we will find out soon if we're going to get banned or not.

If the 007 hack still works, i don't see why the MA hack shouldn't.

Has anyone tested the FONT hack yet tho? Has this been broken aswell?

It appears that when using the audio hack when you try to press copy you get the message "unable to copy as you have reached the 100 soundtrack limit"

I will take a look at the font exploit as well. I have a few eeproms to spare!

When i try to update the dash (with modded xbox, chip turned off). It begins the download and takes like 2 minutes for a tiny little notch to appear on the progress bar, waits about another minute then it gives me a message that says "Xbox Live not Responding, Please try again later". Anyone else get this? Maybe some regions cant get the dash update right now. I live in Vancouver BC (western Canada).

well, been loading evox with the chip on, and xboxdash when the chip is off. No problems yet. Also turned off the auto sign on crap. I suggest everyone with the new dash update their bios as well, to not boot to xboxdash.xbe. Really doesn't metter if the auto sign-on is off, but u can never take too many precautions.

OK! for ME! Ernie & Bert, nor Big fonts worked....But again that was for me....

X2 Lite, with on/off switch

What I have done so far:

Updated new Live 2.0, Looks ok.

Still can use evox and live without being banned or problems, well for now, if anything changes i'll add it to the post.

I also disabled the auto sign on setting, found out the xbox doesn't really connect until you go into the XBOX LIVE TAB, since i disconnect my cable, and only when i went into that tab did it give me an error, saying I couldn't connect.

But when i put the cable back on it boots immediately to the new dashboard.

I suppose if you didn't want to take any chances when your mod is on, just dont go into the LIVE TAB, or just disconnect your cable, just incase you have lil kids that might accidentally go into the xbox live tab menu, hopefully MS is not upto something else.

Can someone confirm that the dashboard is not region free ?
I'm asking that because i have problems to locate the corresponding code, so
1-they have completely change the code for region detection
2- there is no more region detection

So before continuing, i would like to be sure that i'm not trying to remove something that did not exist anymore

Well I just set my box to FTP to 2 other boxs so I can't do anything for a few hours as it is transfering about 123G of Data to 2 othe Xboxs...sorry

It took me about 10-15 tries to get past "Xbox Live Not Responding" for the update on my unmodded Xbox. I assume Live is just really busy right now.

So if I use an original 1.0 xbox (with the old xbox live), can I load the 007 hack, make a dual-bootable TSOP, upgrade the retail version to live 2.0, and still be able to boot from the modded side without a problem?? Thanks!

EDIT: for the record, i get the same shit. it will sit there for forever without downloading and sometimes it will say it's not responding or whatever. they must be very busy... i've tried about 15 times now although i can still get into RTCW and play some games...

Looks like you can still run Pheonix by just running the MA or 007 Run Linux game save. Instead, of using the audio exploit, just run the save that installed it and you should be okay.

But if you run pheonix from the save game, can you open the DVD tray without it resetting?

At any rate, back to the topic...

Are XYZ codes still available with the new dash, guys?

did you try to copy the saved game from USB memcard to your xbox HD.

If the 007/MA saved game was already on your HD it's normal it's still working (MS can't block that with a dash upgrade - it's an exploit in the game).
They might have developed a system to stop you from copying hacked saved games to your HD though. Could you try that?

At this moment, you cannot open the DVD tray without resetting. The MA/007 disc must remain in the tray while using Pheonix.

is there any laws stopping them from doing harddrive scan?
what about if all apps are on F drive cos they might not check it as it dosent (to normal users anyway) exist.

i remember when my xecuter chip went out of date with the dash problem, i dont want my x2 to become useless aswell!

ok got my Dash upgraded.. where's our channel chat feature with the public people i thought we was getting? so far you can only private chat with invited friends.. maybe this is only part 1 of the upgrade?

it can be diabled in settings.. they also added a network shortcut there now for us too..

2 BIG QUESTIONS:

1 : Can i still access the MS Dashboard safely withOUT the cable plugged in but mod-chip ON

2 : IS IT PROGRESSIVE SCAN? Please tell me it is as i will not be able to see it otherwise!

What if I kept the old dash on my Xbox? All I would need is the XBE and its XPR folder with its contents, like if you put a modified MS dash on your XBox. Hmm, thinking about it now, I bet I can still use GCUE's True Blue or Red hacked MS dash to manage my game saves without connecting to Live in the dash.

All Updated... Testing to see the Log on methods at the moment all the information towards the new XBOX Live Dash...

Seems to point to that as soon as your xbox is on it attempts to connect to Live! but thats only my suspicion so far... and the live dash no longer has the intro video its straght away onece u select xbox live tab its there... so the whole dashbaord must be Live Based... as soon as dash loads it logs onto to live...

Voice Chat: So far you have to INVITE them to chat... not yet known if they have to leave the game to speak to you mind....

GUI: Looking nice, better without Video... loading somtimes inbetween tabs mind with a ghost recon styled circular loading bar in green...

What is this worry with GAME SAVES? so if i play an import or something and save my stage or charecter on my xbox i am going to get screwed? is that it??

I don't use Xbox live at all.. Never have , i did however update my dash with unreal ages ago.. If I sign into Msdash is it automatically going to update me? even if I've never used live before? I am using font hacks and access msdash from evox menu. I need to know this ,for things like setting the clock out of a clock loop etc.. Please let me know , this could be a big problem --Bikr
