But when you run it as an app, aren't you running it ON TOP of Evox? For purposes of testing Avalaunch's stability (vs. Evox's instability) is it fair to test it running as an app? Wouldn't Evox still be running in the background?

I boot into Ava every now and again to see how it's coming along. still use Evo as my default but I've thought several times about going to Ava.
Yes, you can just put it on your drive and load it from Evolution without any trouble if you want to see what it's like.

wierd, I ran ava as an app from evox and it crashed a lot, ran it as a dashboard and it worked fine...
explaination?

sure, when evox releases memory when giving it to another app, it doesnt do it properly, hence the crashing problems.

wrong. i had problems running ava as an app.
Im one of those ppl with the freezing network cable problem. I tried running ava as an app and thought it didnt help as i still was getting freezing. When i ran ava dash as default all freezing problems were fixed etc..
However unless you have existing problems with evoX (eg. freezing with network cable plugged in) it should be fine to run as an app

well so far i have no problems apart from the news feed which isn't important realy.
and its all good i like avalaunch very much not enough to convert from evox maybe in the future when few more things added to ava but only time will tell.
