hey, i bought my UK PAL Xbox last week its dated manufactur date is Aurgust 2002. I think this means it V2 ??

now what ModChip will work with this? i went to get the enigmah installed but was told i cudnt be!

Can someone plz help me out im very new to the whole XBOX modchip scene!

u got 2 choices :

1. Matrix/Xodus chip
2. Xecuter 2 chip

if you get matrix chip you have to wait for xecuter team to release x2 bios.
And xecuter 2 isnt released yet.

So you have to wait for a while no mather what choice you make

Oh great! only got an xbox cos i wanted it chipping for divx movies!

i was told that it didnt matter if i got a new xbox or an old one

do we have any idea when these new versions will be out? as i really dont wanna have to but a DVD kit for £30!

well , i thought xecuter 2 is gonna be released within 2 weeks. But if you want to use your xbox as divx player, i would buy the remote, cause it is supported by new xbox media player, and its very usefull

Now i just need to find a good decent UK ( Bradford / Leed ) Mod supplyer who can chip my xbox ..

i work for ISP so hav lot of Bandwidth hence why i want to get xbox chipped quick!

You can play divx, xvid and vcd, svcd support is in progress, and if you want to share your bandwidth with me let me know im on #xbox and #xbins mostly.

You really need to open the box to find out what version it is, the new box (1.1) has no fan on the GPU and no usb daughter board (ie the usb cables plug straight into the motherboard)
