After it's been installing for a while the screen turns black and nothing more happens (been like that for a couple of hours now).

It sez in the intsructions that the console should come back up and then you type "reboot" and insert the boot disc, but the console doesn't come up, just a black screen.

Please I need help, already failed with Gentoox getting online (noone wanted to help me!!) and I really want this one to work!

Is it possible that at first the console came up with text, and then the screen saver kicked in? I think it kicks in after a few minutes and presents a greenish-black screen. Hitting a key will bring it back if this is the case.
