This is my painted xbox... it was first grey with blue flames, but i covered the flames up and painted it a metalic silver.

There's about 49 Led's. 12 in the front, 17 at the top. 18 at the bottom. 2 For hdd light.

some of these mods are good, but nothing compares to a completely custom case built from scratch.

Mods ive done:

Two bubble cold cathod lights on the side. (comming out of the bottom of the front face)
El wire to outline the X (super glued )(I also ran out)
Cut out the Jewel and replaced it with a fan grill (Im not putting a jewel or anything behind it.)
Replaced the green and red Power lights with blue ones.

Mods Im doing next week (when orders come in):

Finish outlining the X with El wire.
If I have enough, outline the base in El wire.
putting a single halo cathode behind the "Jewel grill"
Blue controller ports will be added.


I have another case im an going to mod with windows. Im not sure when that will happen though. (no monies)



here is my old one i gave to my friend because i wanted to start over. I hate xbox skins. I started out with one, and i had to stick with them because of the goo that ruined the xbox.

This is my first xbox mod. It came out alright considering how horrid a painter i am. Still a couple of things I have todo. Get a bios that uses red as the primary color on the eject and put something behind the jewel so you cant see the IDE cable.

Even with the paint screw ups im pretty Happy with it

To make the Power/Eject button red, i suggest switching the wire around.

I havent taken any pics of my own box, I know, i need to. Mine is basicly the same thing except everything is painted black on it, so it looks kinda stealth when its turned off, then you get blinded when you turn it on , seriously, the leds in it are so bright that you have to turn the box sideways a little so that they dont hit you straight on.
Tell me what you think.

I actually cut a glass circle and then put the jewel on top of it to make the "outline look" and show more light.

This is what i made my Xbox look like:

Sorry Forgot to add these photos to my last post. This is what mostly inspired (sp?) my Xbox color choice.

I had the jewel lit up with a cathode, and I just let the cathode light the window. It would look a lot better if I ever got around to ordering LEDs. I was going to sell the case and make a plexi case, but the Krylon clear coat ruined it. I let it dry for over 3 weeks, set a plastic package (the blister package for the cold cathode) on top of it, and when I took it off it left two 1mm deep lines in the clear coat. The clear coat's really easy to scratch too. I'm thinking of sanding it down and repainting it with some Black Wrinkle Texture paint that I have left over from painting a valve cover. Also, as of now, here's my xbox:

im not quite finished with mine, still got 18 led's to put in the beast but here she is so far

my camra just pooped on me but i got some pics befor i added a pice of reflection metal, stanless steel with random cuts/poilshings/sanding makrs all over it, and my controllar mod. I put a 357 mag caseing inbetween the d-pad and the bottom joy-stick. Also added a blue LED into it, the controlller i mean.
heres this pics i got.

now that jewel is sanded and has the leds (see below) under it. Also i have the front switches for my Xcuter 2.3b Pro on the front.

those are the leds under the jewel. The 3 lazer red leds sit under that 1 red led from the halo.

as for the neon i got it at the local Kmart. it was ment to be used in a car but a car used 12v so why not drop it in the xbox?????
