that is the cleanest paintjob i have ever seen, i mean its perfect. no over painting or anythning. you have definitely put alot of effort into your xbox, it look great.

nice job on the writing on the bezel aswell, it matches the original xbox writing that was there

I am modding an xbox and I want mine to look very simple for now. Does anyone have an xbox with a stock paintjob but has a LAN led and a HDD led. ALso what about a jewel witha green cathode around it. I want to install a LCD screen but not quite sure what I would use it for? I know this is probably the wrong place to post this so SORRY! I just am looking for some examples of some nice simple easy mods to do.

Alright guys, just done a couple more mods to my box and took a couple a few pic's for you all to see.

Ive put the DVD dongle inside my xbox and used a 12v relay so when a controller is not plugged into my controller port 2 the DVD dongle is activated and when a controller is not plugged into port 2 then the DVD dongle is activated and can be used just as normal.

The sensor the the DVD dongle is on the outside of my xbox as shown in pic's

Also i did the power on mod etc with the DVD remote controller, this uses a seperate IR sensor which is also shown in the pic's

Let me know what you guys think.

p.s does any one know if a third party controller dongle would be compatible with a offical MS remote?

lol Its getting there, the wireing inside my box is getting unreal whenever i want to trace something out it takes time.. It all works a dream at the moment though, there shouldn't be too much more wireing to go in there now though as ive done alot of the mods i had in mind.

With all that wireing in there it will probably fire up some day soon when i'm playing a game on it lol

I know that this isn't that fucktacular since it's the xbox that I carry around in my backpack to lan games. It's kinda beat up,but the paint is still surviving rather well. Anyways here's my little friend.

The little red thing is my sensor for my IR remote


The switch is the 7v-12v fan speed control,and the other thing is my coaxle digital audio output.

There are tri color LEDs under the buttons that change according to the rumble motors.


I hope this isn't boring you to death,it is my oldest box (from 2002) and I haven't done anything much to my other two xboxes at the moment. Once I do I'll post pics.
