Heres one me and my mate did on his xbox, I thought a UV reactive crystal xbox would be sweet. So we got UV paint that dried clear (although it gave a really nice frosted effect instead) and put a UV cold conthode under the hood. All we couldnt figure out was how to get the case back on properly just because the cathode was too big no matter how much dremelling we did.

Dude that window is fuckin sick.. Whoever did that, you or someone else, i dont care.... I owe you a beer.

Looks like something atomheartmother would make , but in a shitty 3rd party. Atomheartmother would never use one of those, only official crystals, or xcms.

Yes, I used a 3rd party case, knowing full on that it isnt the greatest quality. And I don't care. I did this for a reason: I honestly think the XCM cases are ugly.. I wanted to be able to see the all the guts of my box, and not have a shitty frosted top. Plus the XCM has all those little plastic brace things all through the lid, and i think that looks like ass. It wouldnt have flowed with what I was trying to pull off here. Yeah, it doesnt come with a bottom piece... but so what? How many of you honeslty look at the BACK of your machine whilst playing it?

This box looks absolutely stunning in person if I do say so myself. I get compliments EVERYWHERE I take it. Almost every person that sees it running stops and asks me all sorts of questions about it. Modder i want to see some of your work, because you seem to think you are the god of modding... hence the name I suppose. But I doubt any of your work is perfect.

My xbox has lots of hours into it, and you should respect that instead of just being a dick like usual.

And thanks to the kid who already complemented, and thanks in advance for all the nice people who are willing to complement and/or give advice. Everyone else... kill yourself lol.

I liked it, seemed a little unorganized, but i do like all the light it gives off. That fan looks so boss. Too improve, maybe add a few more leds to give each half of the xbox a solid color, like a nice clean fade from red to blue. Great job anyways.

Did I say it was so fucking terrible? Whats all your fucking problems. All I said was that it looked like one of Atomheartmothers case's, with all colors of LEDs in it. Don't get me wrong, 3rd party cases look good to. They are actually clear all the way, unlike crystals and xcms. I am allowed to have my own opinion on what kind of cases I think are cool? If you mis-read anything I said, Im sorry. I was not trying to insult your work, especially since my xbox doesn't even work. I might have called them shitty, but thats just my personal opinion, I like the look of the frost on the top, which the 3rd partys dont offer. Although looking at ones xbox innards isnt really all that bad.

Also, I haven't seen much from you either twinski. Ya know, other than bitching about my postcount. Apparently post count is so important to you. If I could, Id give you all my post counts, since they are that important..

I used to post on the gamebeef.com server before some asshole hacked them and fucked em up. But anyways, sorry for any hostility... I just wanna show the modding community what i am capable of. Where my forte lies is custom car audio and video. I rule at that and plan to someday make a living at it.

All I have to say is that I have seen AtomHeart do some sick work. As for your box[dizzan] that is entirely too much color mixture for me. I preffer subtle but uniform color arangements. Dont get me wrong you did a jammin job getting all those leds in there, but I personally feel they would look a little better more uniform..

With that said I do have to give you props on the dvd spindle LEDs.. I love them. And also the stanby lights..

No, my gripe with you is that when someone puts effort into an xbox and you just write it off as being "a shitty 3rd party" that pisses me off. You are not moving the scene forward at all, and if anything holding it back. Post counts don't mean anything to me, but when you have over 1,200 posts, and you are still acting like a kid, you have some growing up to do. Read what is under that count. People actually look up to mods people have done, and on my list respect is higher than post count.

Thanks twinski, that was the perfect way to put it. Basically modder, people will respect you as a modder if you show them some respect in return. Instead of just telling someone that their mod is "shitty" looks bad or something, try and tell them how to improve it or something. Otherwise just dont say anything. "treat others as you would want to be treated youself.

Thanks to the others who complimented. And yeah, theres a lot of color, but I did that on purpose lol. It's not quite intense in person. The red LED's that are actually inside the dvd drive itself (on the circuit boards) make a real nice effect.

Now, how about lets get this topic back on topic. I'll probably be posting some pics soon of my buddys sex-box we just completed last night. It looks awesome... kinda like mine only all blue, and no x3 panel.

Dizzan, I have some pics of my xboxs, but they are old.

Now in that ones is an xerc, red/blue jewel ring with 12 leds, 6 each.
Red/white p/e board.
Fader chip and darlington transistor, seeing as my version of the fader I made a looong time ago sucked and destroyed my old sammy.

Thing is, the xerc dont work, so Im working on getting pablot and/or SICK to help me with it. I might go check up on the updated xerc guide later.

Wrong, post counts doesn't matter when it comes to knowledge, but when you have THAT many posts, you should know some common courtesy. You haven't heard much of me, because im not usually the one to just throw shit out there. MOST of my posts not all, but most are just here and there, i don't feel that i need to be in every thread like some. I pick and choose, and not just flood.

I just signed up for X-S but ive been modding since mid-summer. Here is one of my xboxs, no paint or anything just lights, im waiting on a few supplys to start modding the case

Well your pictures are taken from like 5 or 6 feet away from the box. Closer shots of it would be nice. Plus, I think the external switches look sorta ugly, not like you need them. Unless of course you have multiple bios's or something

Yeah, you should get the pro switch or the X3 control panel with the LCD screen. The screen is a real cool thing to have... especially with xbmc and dvd2xbox. still a good start tho!

i have multiple bios and i think the pro switch is ugly , and the Lcd screen doesent look right on the xbox. The reason i didnt come closer is because theres nothing special about it except light i gont even have a jewel on it . Im working on some more stuff like windows and a few things on the inside, and also a dvd window right now.

Well what I did with my external switch, was wire it out the back, threaded the wires out abouve the ethernet hole and hooked it up in the back so I didn't have to look at it often.

Well that's an interesting idea.. hmm why didnt i think of that. Oh well my switches are on my old front anyways. I love the screen for xbmc and dvd2xbox... shows some nice info.

He spent about 30 hours on his, I spent about 3 on mine. You can see yourself in the finish of his due to the whole bottle of clearcoat. He sandpapered after each layer and we figure he has about 15 layers on there. I have 2.

ekoostik or whatever, I like your box and the paint and all, but it looks like your dvd drive is mounted in there a lil crooked... pop er open and make sure the drive is sitting correctly on all its lil mounting post.

Damn modder.... did you do that all yourself? If so, it looks amazing.. like it came from the factory like that. Doesnt the little bit of lag you get when booting without a dvd drive get kinda annoying?

If I had the patience to mess with bondo I might actually try that.. but alas, I am lazy. lol.

No, ubernewb made it. And to fix the lag issue, you take the circuit out of a drive and hook it up. a bit more things to cram in there, but it wont lag on startup.

If you have an X3, you could also disable the flubber animation in the X3ConfigLive menu. It seems like it loads faster that way, although I never actually timed it to find out.

I tried using a circuit board from an xbox dvd rom drive but still got errors.

dude.. you dont gotta cram that board.. all you gotta do is jump two of the wires on where the power from the dvd drive comes... ..
