Hey, i was just fixing up my BIOS with XBtool, and i was wondering if a fan going at 100% is better than a fan going at like 50% or so.....? can someone please tell me a good speed for the fan to be going..
Thanks In Advance

The higher the fan speed the cooler the xbox. I would not recommend slowing your fan speed down.

I agree. I moved my fan from the 7v t 12 v and it keeps my cpu around 120 degrees Farenheit. Before the switch it use to get to 140.

Question does the xbox keep the settings at 7v for when the xbox gets hot and kicks it up to 12v and if so would overriding the setting harm it?

The fan really isn't running at 7v, unless the info I have is wrong. What I've read is that it uses pulse-width modulation to control the speed. It may appear as 7v on a meter, though.
If it gets hot and kicks the speed up to 100% then you'd just see no change from the 100% setting. It wouldn't harm anything. Running your fan at 100% all the time might cause it to wear out prematurely, of course.
