I'm sure its a silly question to some, but is there any way to update the codecs for xbmp myself, or do I have to just trust that the new version will take care of it? I think this box is still on 2.3. I'm basically trying to play something encoded in Xvid through the box, but all I get is a black screen and then the box hangs. The file plays fine on all of my other machines, but I did have to update the codecs on one of them which makes me wonder. I've spent about an hour searching the forums to see whats up, but I can't seem to find the answer to this question, so I thought I'd ask. Any advice would be appreciated.

Evox using Relax. Haven't had a problem with any of my own backups, but they are all in divx. I can't help but think its a codec problem.

You can not update the codecs yourself unless you are compiling.

ffmpg is what is used in xbmp and it is updated whenever a new version gets out.
