OK I have a question this is very weird... On my computer I have a 80gig hard drive and a 40gig hard drive the 80 gig is 1 partition formatted with NTFS file system. The partition size came out to 76.3 GB. Now inside of the drive i have 3 folders... 1st folder is 1gig, 2nd folder is 23gig, 3rd is 33.8 gig. When added up it comes to 57.8 gb but when i right click on the drive to see how much space is wasted it says I only have 9.21 gb left where is my other 9gigs?

Well Alot of people seem to be having this problem.
Max PC mag, says it could be a Bad drive, Or a problem with your file system.
Run a scandisk or checkdisk in windows, then off a bios>bookdisk and see if that helps you.

Just becuase XP doesn't report it, doesn't mean it's not there. It could mean what has already been posted. But, it could mean nothing. I have had similar problems. But, it never affected anything. I once had a folder with the files from a DVD I was ripping stored in a folder. When I checked the properties of the folder, it said total size was ~3.7gb. But, I knew for a fact that the total size was around 7gb. I kept working like nothing had happened without any problem.
