when the chip is on i get a red and green flashing light and no video, only about 3 out of a hundread times has it booted corectly. with the chip off it boots but then goes to an 05 error screen

Umm check ur soldering unless it has no solder points the check where u attached and make sure it isnt getting to hot

Well it really depends on what kind of modchip you have, but it sounds like you have a xecutor chip. My stab in the dark would be you soddered wrong, so try and fix that a.s.a.p. OR you have a modchip like me, a matrix, where its non sodder. All that would mean is you have realing your chip better, trust me I had my share of cursing at that thing for not being aligned when I got it back together.
