i jus installed the xecutor 2.2 lite +, i screwed in the chip, and wen i turn on my xbox the led comes on (showing the chip is in the right position) and ive tried installing evox, and the x2 bios, but nothing will work! when i put the cd-rw into my xbox it says to insert a dvd, audio cd, etc. can anyone tell me what to do? please help!!

which LED ... there are three .. only two should be on when enabled and all three when enabled.

There is also the light on the switches which comes on no matter if it is installed correctly or not if you enable the chip

the blue led light on the switch comes on, and the leds on the chip come on. but my xbox acts as if there wasnt a chip fitted

it's not alighned .... Disable the chip and you should get three lights on the chip come on. The two blue and one green/yellow. If the gree/yellow does not come on, it is not aligned. You may have to scrap your d0 point a little to get it to come on.
