Just installed a Pro for the 150th time. Installed a 120gig and loaded it up. Everthing went as it always did before.

Loaded up Config Magic and locked the drive. Powered down the system and booted to make sure everything is as it should.

When booting back up with the chip "on" the system hosed and then started flashing RED. Just RED.

I shut off the chip and tried booting and it booted up fine once. When I tried again it started Flashing RED again.

Now no matter what I do RED FLASHING.

I uninstalled the chip cheacked and cleaned everything and nothing. The system will not boot. Just keeps flashing RED. System seems to be getting power and everythinf works.

What error is this? Can't find any information on this.

Things I've tried so far:
Reflashed Chip - RED FLASHING
New Drive - RED FLASHING
Removed Chip - RED FLASHING

1.3 (Brand NEW system out of box)
M7
Latest Evox
Hynix
Conexant
afortaleza

Is this with the 120 still in place or have you tried with the origional HD.
Just a thought that the 120 may have died.
JohnnyVegas
I tried that too. I put the original in with the same problem.

I even tried differant DVD-ROM drives but still the same.
I talked to the clerk today about the problem and he sais a kid that bough a system a few months back came in withthe same problem. He was playing it fine for a few hours then FLashing RED. His game was stuck and system wouldn't do anything.

I'm thinking this is just a bad Mobo or processor.

Factory defect.

oohh well
