can someone help me please?
i have just worked out how to install evo-x v1.8.3285 and network it to my pc with flash-xp, no worries, all good,
but then i read with xbmp i can play divx movies on my xbox, and i thought beauty, ill get that and have a go, so im not a total knob when it comes to this stuff (almost!!) but.....

ive downloaded the install manual and it makes sense, except for this:
if i want to put xbmp on a cdrw, what does it mean when it says "the main file needs to be named "default.xbe.", and must be in the root of the disk"??
what file, where, there is no default.xbe. file is the unzipped program, what is the root, help!!
i have noticed on all the other xbox files there is a default.xbe file, so obviously this is needed, but i dont know what to rename and where or how to set up the cd to burn.
if i wanted to ftp xbmp to my xbox hard drive, whats the go with the defaul.xbe file, i mean when i unzipped xbmp, there is no default.xbe file(as above), this is my preffered way!
can somebody please simplify this for me, all i want is to play divx movies on my xbox.
many thanks,
Matt.

If there is no "default.xbe", then you:

(1): Have a corrupt file.
(2): Have downloaded source code, not binaries.

The "root" is the *highermost* directory in any file structure hierarchy.

i downloaded the zip file from soundforge, is this only the source code as far as you know?
if it is, then it back to searching i guess??,
dunno where, but i will prevail!!
