Say one were to have some "private" videos on their xbox that they did not want others who use the xbox knowing about.
Is there a way the folder they're in could be hidden and one would have to manually supply the folder name to get to the files?
This doesn't neccesaraly have to be a XBMP feature, if there is any way to protect folders, please share.

you could just add an extra letter/symbol to the folder name where you store your porn, like videos# or similar, with boxplorer or such.
then this folder will become invisible to xbmp!
then just remove the # when your girlfriend/mum is out for the night

I have two "personal" XNS shares that I have displayed 100% of the time...friends and others come over all the time and play with my xbox...never once has any ever looked in places they shouldn't. Most likely because my videos menu looks like:
XNS Streaming Videos
XBOX Local HDD
DVD (UF98988BLAH)
Format C Drive - Warning
Format D Drive - Back Up First
Hmmm..the last two links are for my "personal" shares. No one has yet even DARED to click on either option for fear of formatting the drive.
Hope that helps.

On a similar topic, I have a few cd's which were burnt with the 'hide' flag set on the files, and I can't for the life of me see them on XBMP, is there a way I don't know?

yeah don't talk to me about people not poking their noses where they shouldn't. my idiot brother decided he wanted to watch the Futurama episodes I had and ended up killing my TSOP. He bought me a Chamelelon so I could fix it.
Also the rename with a # trick didn't work.
