When I but up my xbox i get the normally X3 and the flashing red lights. The thing about it is that the nught before it worked but something happen and it would correcly flash. Do you think I have a bad bios now? Or something else.

Also, if I have have a bad dios can I program it with the a programmer I had from an old matrix mod chip?

One more thing, when the chip is disabled the xbox works normally?

Either of 2 things:

Bad LPC connection (loose maybe?)
Bad bios

Only those 2 things will cause a frag to occur. When you flashed it, did you flash it with a 1024K bios file? 2.2 needs a 1MB (1024K) size file for flashing bios. If you only flashed with a 256K or 512K file then that's the problem. Resize the file with X2BM. I have no idea about the matrix programmer though, why not go with the LPT port from the pro for flashing though (unless you didn't install that).
