yo, I've got debian 3.1 running on my box, but I would like to upgrade it. I know 4.1 is out, but is gentoo better? By better, I mean out of debian and gentoo, which is the:
Fastest
Most Compatable - prehiperals, usb stuff, software
Easiest to use - I'm not yet fluent in Linux
Has least glitches/problems
Best looking - looks nice, clean. I like the look of KDE after installing debian, is gentoox like that?
One more question, are either gentoox or debian able to utalize the cd drive?
Any info is appriciated. Thanks.

i like gentoox. and i'm sure shallax will get around to updating the video drivers at some point, not that it makes a difference for the most part. and it's easy to set up (more so than debian at any rat). plus, the xbian distro seems to be corrupt at the moment, but i'm sure they'll fix the problem soon enough.

Ya, I noticed unzipping Xebian gave some corruption error but it did produce an ISO. Is it comfirmed the ISO is no good?
