I got a new 160 GB HDD and installed it in my xbox. With a little difficulty (my DVD drive will NOT read an non-game burned default.xbe's unless EvoX is up and running, go figure) I got the drive formatted, twice, and I reloaded all of my C and E partitions onto it. What I found that troubled me was the Evox said I only had some where around 110-120 GB free on my F drive (I did the all to F, no G partion bios option and formatted it in the same fashion). When I opened boXplorer, it said that I had a total of 150 GB on my F drive, but that only 120 GB was available, which pissed me off considering there was absolutely nothing on the F partition. Both of my bioses have LBA48 support, but do I have to update something else?

160GB hard drive == 149GB - 8GB system == 147GB available
140GB hard drive == 130GB - 8GB system == 122GB available

You sure you got a 160GB? What is the model#?

EDIT: Also, you used oz_paulb's patched EvoX build, right? If you use the standard version, it won't format past 137GB, which leaves 129GB for F. This would be consistent with boXplorer reading the partition size as 150GB but finding that not all of it is formatted.

I think he didnt do the lba patch.

So I have to reformat the F partition with a patched version of EvoX, cuz I downloaded the newest version, added in the format info into evox.ini, then formatted it. If I do have to reformat the F drive then this is what I have to say:

FUCK!!!!!

I loaded all of my DivX and stuff onto the F drive and xbox ftp takes forever!!!

No, you can modify your bios with XBTool to utilize a 7th partition, Drive G. Then you will have your remaining 30 gigs on that partition only.
