I've tried without luck to get dvd2xbox 4.8 to work on my 1.0 box, xbit. M7, slayer's install, and then evox 3291. Also didn't work with x2 4977 and 3291. When I'd insert project gotham, or another original game, it would try to copy a little, and then stop with errors, and say, "press start to copy" (which i had already done!!!) - and then it wouldn't copy.
I tried 4.9 last night, with x2 4977, and had even worse results - it viewed project gotham racing as an 11 meg video file.
any ideas? i have a thomson drive which can read these original games perfectly, and i've had good luck with pxhdd 1.1a

Have you tried boXplorer? I've never had any problems with it.

i think i have it on my xbox (if not, i definitly have the dl) but i keep hearing dvd2xbox is THE way to go - patches, works well, error checking, etc. - just not for me

Have you tried using an older version? I'm not sure what fixes are in the latest version but I'm stil using 0.45 and it works great. I'll probably upgrade eventually but for now it's fine. I always like to have the latest versions of everything but at the same time I can't help but think: "If it ain't broke, don't fix it."
