why can i do it? i edited it made it the same file type with the same name and get the old one.. i looked through the folder and my new BG is in there but the old one shows up.. i looked everywhere for the original Bg in the ava folder and its not there!

sure you made png's? any png will override a jpg

no jpgs just PNGs

What file are you trying to rename? When I reskin the file manager I use a transparent overlay of the way I want the windows broken down named "filemanager.png" . This is overlayed over another pic named "background.png" .
