Can you leave the spacer/washer out of the box..will that damage the box in any way? I finally got a chip aligned correctly but I didnt put the spacer in....is that ok??

If it comes with a spacer I would recommend using it. It's probably so that the d0 lines up correctly.

Even tho is perfectly lined up right now...and everything is working?

If you got it lined up, just leave it. The washer is used to help with alignment, but is not absolutely necessary.
